Peter Douglas Edwards (born November 20, 1955) stands as a prominent figure in contemporary British portraiture, recognized for his distinctive style—characterized by vibrant color palettes, textured brushstrokes, and an unwavering dedication to capturing the essence of his subjects. His artistic journey began with formative years spent studying at Shrewsbury School (1974–5) and Cheltenham Art College (1975–8), establishing a foundation for his subsequent career as a painter.
