Bozhkov’s formative years in rural Bulgaria undoubtedly instilled within him a deep appreciation for folklore, mythology, and the vibrant beauty of his surroundings. While studying at the Academy, he absorbed traditional techniques but quickly began to diverge from conventional approaches.
