This is a black and white photograph of a man wearing a long white shirt, who is standing with his head bowed and his front facing the image circle. His eyes are pointed downwards. The man is hugging a violin to his breast. The figure has been portrayed against a neutral background. Michał Kokot is very minimalistic, as far as his photography is concerned, since he focuses on portraying a single figure or motif. He is fascinated with everyday life and creates a universal narration about human life. He creates flat photographic installations, which emphasize a single motif or figure. At the same time, his photographs are based on a game of metaphors, and stun with lyricism and a large dose of things that remain unsaid. The photos are often figurative representations of a single figure, which is additionally mentioned in the title, which was the case of the Violinist.
