Painted in Rome, at the beginning of his stay in Italy, this watercolor reveals an accurate technique, served by an assured drawing. There are, however, some concepts of oil painting that are transported to watercolor as is the case of the black of the shadow, which creates an excessively defined chiaroscuro.
