Following early experiences that saw him working as a chimney sweeper's assistant and a pharmacy assistant, he pursued formal training at the Akademie Výtvarných Umění in Prague. Under the tutelage of masters like Vlaho Bukovac, Maximilian Pirner, and Max Švabinský, Alexy absorbed the delicate nuances of Impressionism and the structural elegance of the Secession movement.
