Dinis’s formative influence stemmed from the mentorship of Joaquim José Galrão, arguably Portugal's foremost violin and cello builder of his era. Galrão’s reputation for producing instruments of exceptional quality and artistic merit captivated musicians across Europe, and Dinis eagerly absorbed Galrão’s techniques and aesthetic sensibilities.
